Any young man around knows all about the lovely Susan Storm Richards. She is also one of the marvel action figures which can be found over the internet. People are also able to locate her husband, brother and best friend if they look hard enough.
Stan Lee knew he had a winner when he created "The Invisible Woman." Sue Storm is one of the members of the super team called "The Fantastic Four, " and the Mego toy company first introduced her likeness in a doll back in the 70's. This figure was eight inches tall and she came with removable cloth clothing. Many people did not purchase this statue when it was first created.
Unfortunately all of the little boys only wanted the boy dolls that were available and little girl preferred Barbie dolls over super heroes. Susan Storm was left alone in the toy store and eventually she was discontinued. Nowadays those same little boys are now grown men who would kill to have this particular statue.
Sue is married to Reed Richards who is known as "Mr. Fantastic." The Mego company was smart to create this certain item as well. Reed Richard's statue looks just like the comic book character and toy collectors everywhere try to bid on this item. He also sells for a high price if he is still new within his original package. Both Reed and Sue look exactly like the characters presented in the books.
Mego did not give the same care to their super hero women that were part of the DC line. Anyone around knows that all of their female characters look the same and only have different hair colors. In a way they were trying to save money when these statues were first produced and therefore they used the exact face over and over.
When Mego produced "The Fantastic Four" they did their best work on these items. "Conan" was lucky to be within this group since his doll is also a piece of glorious art. Some people like both versions of his statue. One version has long hair while the other one presents him with a shorter cut. The people working for "Classic TV Toys" are hoping that their Conan dolls will also sell well.
It is sad to say that forty years ago the toy companies which produced these toys thought about quality first. All of their products are very durable and the body type is better than the ones made today. "Thor" fans can purchase a variety of his statues since they are constantly being produced every year. Thanks to a movie called "The Avengers" a certain toy company continues to manufacture "Thor" products.
"The Human Torch" is also a much sort after item produced by Mego. Johnny Storm brought comedy to "The Fantastic Four" and every fan loves this character dearly. Every person on the planet knows that if Mego had survived they would have made a Johnny Storm statue as well.
