By Jennifer Hargrave

It is understandable that you are looking for online jobs for college students that would not cost you much money when starting out. In addition, you would want online jobs that are easy to start and do not take much of your time as you need to concentrate on your studies. Here are some ideas that would be ideal for you:

It's really as simple as that....There are a myriad of subjects you can write about. The possibilities are endless when it comes to article marketing. You might ask how you make money? Well they're called affiliate programs and you can get affiliate links for Free from virtually any company that has a website. I'll explain that more later. You can also make money by building a blog, which is very similar to writing articles. Eventually, you'll have a steady stream of customers and they will buy from you over and over if you provide them helpful information on your blog.

You are serving them and they pay you by purchasing stuff off your blog. This is definitely one of the best online jobs for college students. You can use Google AdSense or just affiliate links like I mentioned before. Reaching people through email and selling them products and services is also very achievable. Again, it just takes a little patience and work to serve your customers and gain trust while working one of the best online jobs for college students.

Article Marketing- This is a method that is not looked to as one of the many online jobs for college students but this is a very simple method. In fact the way it works is that you write a simple couple paragraphs. At the end of these you will place a link to a website. once a potential customer comes along and sees your link at the end of the article the person will click on it. Once they purchase the item you will receive about 75% of the money from that. So if it costs $100 you will receive $75 just because you wrote that article and this method can repeat itself many times.

Are you a college student? Would you like some ideas about online jobs for college students? Do you have access to a computer? If you are reading this, than I assume so...wink. It is funny when I think about it because way back in the olden days when I was in college (1994-1998), it was uncommon for students to have computers in their rooms. Some of us did have PCs, but for typing papers only. I laugh out loud when I think that we didn't have access to Google if we needed to look something up. I mean really, we had to go to the library. I went to Virginia Tech, so naturally the library was 5 miles in the snow uphill both ways. And if we got stuck in the snow, its not like we could call for help from our cell phones. Yikes... Sorry.

Anyway, back to the present. I am assuming that unless you live in some far off remote private island with no human inhabitants, that you have access to a computer. I have also concluded that since you are still here that you can read. Well, today is your lucky day! All you need to be successful in affiliate marketing is access to a computer and the ability to read.

Let me explain how I learned about affiliate marketing. I was a stay at home mom. One day my husband lost his job and took another one which was not making ends meet for us. I searched online to find out about possible online jobs for stay at home moms. I was quickly bombarded with a load of 'become a millionaire today' and other get rich quick schemes. Some programs were so ridiculous that I almost gave up. Luckily, I searched on and found a company called Wealthy Affiliates. This program claimed to teach you how to become a successful affiliate marketer. I was thinking, what is an affiliate marketer? Upon further research of Wealthy Affiliates, I learned that an affiliate marketer is someone who basically builds websites to sell products online.

Articles are in high demand on the internet, and there are plenty companies and marketers that will pay you for quality articles. We are talking 300-500 word articles in most cases. You can find business in forums, online ads, and places like AssociatedContent.com and Elance.com. Top writers make upwards of $5000/month, but keep in mind they've been doing it awhile. If you can write quality articles and you are consistent you can probably pull in $1000-$2000 per month after you get going in it.Yes, you can make money doing online surveys. No, it's not going to make you rich. Finding the right survey companies and participating in focus groups is the key. You will find a lot of products that claim to have the best resources for finding quality survey companies, but it's been my experience that you can pretty much find them on your own by doing some research online. Check out forums and blogs related to paid surveys. You can probably pull in $1000/month if you do your homework and at least 3-5 surveys a day.
