Affordable And Stylish Nora Fleming Minis

By Mayra Pierce

An ingenious idea gave birth to a company that supplies mini decorative ceramics and the platters they are used to transform. The idea is to be able to use interchangeable ornaments to transform one platter to suit many different occasions. Nora Fleming minis serve this purpose, enabling one to entertain in an affordable way and yet with a great amount of style and flair.

There are a number of shapes and sizes of white ceramic platters available for purchase, all in simple, modern designs. This allows the food itself to take center stage with just the right decorative element to compliment it. The range includes almost 100 decorative minis, all of which are carefully made and painted by hand.

A mini fits snugly into a hole in a platter and is easily inserted and removed. Once it is taken out, it can be washed and stored until needed again. Storage in a special box also available from the company means these objects can be kept organized and protected. The box consists of nine little compartments and a lid which opens from the side for easy access.

No matter what the occasion or event, one will find a suitable mini. A starfish, palm tree, beach ball and a pair of flip flops all give a sense of occasion to any summer gathering, whether this is a pool party or a relaxed breakfast on the patio. Add a tiny burger to a platter at a barbecue, a cute pile of books to one for a book club meeting or a sombrero for a Mexican themed party.

For an engagement party or a wedding anniversary a red heart or champagne bottle adds the perfect romantic note. The champagne bottle even has a label for personalizing with a marker. Any party food can be made to look more festive with colorful, fun items like a cupcake or a party hat.

Holiday events are occasions when these items can help create the right atmosphere. For Christmas a reindeer, a Christmas tree and a Santa boot are some of the items available. For Easter, a bunny and some eggs or a yellow chick will do the trick. A thanksgiving platter can be dressed up with a tiny turkey. A ghost, a witch hat, a creepy eyeball and a spider are just some of many items used to bring the spirit of Halloween to life.

New pieces are being added to the collection all the time. This means one can keep adding to a set over the years. Some of the more recent additions are a tombstone, a horseshoe and a bunch of grapes. One of the newest serving pieces is a cheese board made of maple which fits inside a round serving platter.

This way of decorating is cost effective and stylish, enabling one to entertain with flair all year round no matter what the season, holiday or event. An assortment of these beautifully made ceramic items creates just the right touch. The food is given the attention it deserves and when accompanied by a tiny ceramic object that suits the occasion, it is appreciated all the more.
