Will Google Wallet Replaces Your Wallet?

By Cornelius Nunev

Now that Google Wallet is on the scene, is a regular wallet even necessary? Pay without cash or charge card in hand, securely and safely.

Get the application on your mobile phone

At the Google Wallet site, you can very easily set up an account linking your credit and debit cards to the account. You even get to pick a preferred card with it. Then, you just have to download the application to your mobile phone and look for the digital wallet payment in stores where you can then pay through the app.

Purchase with your cell phone

A virtual MasterCard account number is given to any person who utilizes Google Wallet, and typically that is the number that is charged. Occasionally, when used offline, the preferred card is charged later instead, but generally the master number is used. You can link any card you want to your account from any card maker. Whenever you make an online purchase, you choose the preferred card you want right then and there.

You can keep thieves from stealing your account information by using a virtual number instead of a real one. On top of that, the info for the card is stored with the number rather than with your cell phone. Google Wallet can then deactivate on the phone and wipe all data from the app if you report your phone stolen.

Taking Google Wallet everywhere

Rather than carrying around a massive wallet full of all kinds of credit and debit cards, you can use Google Wallet. A lot of people can leave the wallet at home and just take a phone with them in the future. Soon, your driver's license and other things will be digitized too, probably, making it much easier very soon to keep away from a wallet altogether.
