Make Thousands By Selling Your Own Ebooks

By Jonas Varig

Everybody today is trying their hand at writing an eBook. The general perspective that most people have is that there is book will help them earn a full-time living online. For some this might be true. For others, it will be little more than a failed experiment. Which camp will you belong to? Winners or losers? There is more to this answer than whether or not you wrote a great e-book. It is important that you do promotions and also position your eBook properly, before you will ever see sales. We wrote this article to help you understand what you need to do in order to improve the sales of your eBook - let's get started!

One platform you should be utilizing for ebook promotion is Twitter. Actually, you should start talking about it before you even publish your book. You can put in links in your tweets, either to the sales page of your book or to a website or blog you've created around it. Try to focus on ways to refer to your book in a way that's helpful and interesting. You want to avoid being thought of as a spammer on Twitter at all costs. Keep things light; sales-focused, but light. Aim to get people interested, but don't oversell your book. The way to get real momentum on Twitter is when your messages are retweeted and reach followers of your own followers. You can tweet about your book often on Twitter, just be creative and use a few different approaches. You can make plenty of money that way as well.

They want to buy what you are selling and promoting. Use your newsletter or whatever it is you send to them to help build the buzz about your book. Have you sold products to your list before? This is the same thing, only it is your eBook instead. There is a reason, after all, that people say that e-mail marketing is where the real money is.

If people want to buy your book, they can also get it on Nook or Kindle for a special discount price. You could literally get away a PDF copy of the eBook. Sell it for a penny! Whatever works. By doing creative promotions you can generate more sales than you can imagine.

Want to make some money online? eBooks can certainly make this happen for you. All Internet Marketers do this - create and publish every single day.

You should have a Facebook page for your eBook. Some people believe that our personal Facebook page and our business page, is all that we need. You could mention your book on these other pages, but that is not enough. This social interaction on the Facebook page will entice people to buy your book based upon posts and reviews that they read. Perhaps you can update your book from time to time. This is a great way to sell additional copies by improving your book on a continuous basis, something that many people will appreciate. Your eBook sales can improve dramatically by doing certain things. There is no reason to limit yourself to a basic sales page and a few Twitter bursts. You will be able to do innovative and fun things when selling your eBook, strategies you cannot use outside of the Internet. It's time to get to work - go do it!
