You Would Like Traffic To Your Site? Stop All The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Increasing website, traffic is simple

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to provide even more traffic to our site, we'd reinforce our sales, I believe it is safe to make it clear that we all bought into that crap. On the surface, it appears sensible. Assessing that idea a tiny bit better under a miniscule lens, it does not hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how often I have really talked with company owners who had actually managed to drive huge quantities of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic wasn't changing into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic changing.

The best place to start is by appraising the quality of traffic that's currently visiting your website. My mom instructed me to never ever assume. Well mom, please forgive me, I am going to take the leap of faith and do so anyway. I'm going to assume that you have Google Analytics on your internet site which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some peculiar reason you aren't currently tracking the traffic coming to your website, shame on you. The more that you understand about your traffic and what your website visitors are doing the better off you will be.

If you're currently tracking your traffic, begin by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the majority of traffic is coming from a PPC project that you are running for example, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Check your Pay per click projects quality scores. If you have a low score, tweak your landing page.
2. You can also double check your keywords and change them too.

At the day's end it comes down to tracking your traffic, and making sure it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, for example. It all boils down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing right now.
