Is Video Marketing Still Effective?

By Manny Rutz

As business owners we should always be looking for ways to increase our sales and audience. The bigger our audience the more chances we have of acquiring new customers. In today's world videos play a huge part in our everyday lives. More and more businesses are understanding the power of using videos to connect and build an audience to increase their brand and audience.

It is not hard to come up with a video as long as you have a camera. You can use the recording time to demonstrate your manufacturing process to the audience or sit there and demonstrate a particular product or service. Production value is not the key to a good video. It isn't necessary to have professional gear for your videos. You don't need a lot of confidence or a great script, either. Be yourself and look in the camera while talking. You may not even have to do that. A slideshow or a PowerPoint could also do the trick.

If your customers do not understand how to properly use your products, a video may be called for. You will be solving the problem for those that have asked about it and for people that are going to be using it in the future as well. Remember to add an opt-in mailing list form near your video. Your viewers may wish to sign your mailing list so that they can receive additional information on your video topic. This is an ideal time to use your sales pitch.

Always keep your content fresh and engaging so your viewers will keep returning. If your viewers are not entertained, chances are they won't watch the entire video. Your viewers should be wanting more at the end of each video. The better your videos are, the better chance you'll have at attracting viewers.

Hopefully you have some good ideas and information out of this article. Video marketing doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. It's all about taking the time to do it and understanding that if you don't do it you might be losing on potential sales.
