Reasons Why You Go For Reusable Name Tags

By Ruth Kelly

A small family business hires high school students to work after school. It is a retail business so the customer experience is key to success. Thus, the great need for badges for the customers to easily identify the staff. Does the proprietor get new badges for a new crop of employees every few months? No. He or she gets reusable name tags. These will be utilized over and again until there is absolutely no more use to get out of them. It will also save money. A few dollars off the expense sheet is a fete.

Imagine being at a coffee shop but somehow fumble through the order. There is an urgent need to have the server understand the order but how to get his or her attention? Badge. An employee badge provides an unusual conduit between staff and client. Also, the clients do not have to work too hard to remember names the next time they come in.

If the company wants to reuse badges over time, they best go for the highest possible quality the market can offer. The badges should be hardy. They should not easily break or show signs of wear after a few years. They should stay sharp and visually appealing for a long time. Now, keep in mind that these badges are entitled to break down after a while. Ensure not to expect too much out of the poor thing.

There are several options for this. The company could get a completely blank badge. They will then decide what to do with the canvas they have been handed. The company could do a simple insert with only a name and maybe the position. They could also print colorful presentations of the logo and names.

The company could also decide to get badges that have already been fitted with the logo and some color. Space will be left on the slate to outfit names. Possible a position and some other information too. The company should ensure to give precise instructions, as these will determine how much space is left.

This should go without saying but script or cursive should be kept off the badge. The information should be in big bold block letters. Preferably, in a dark color that can be read from clear across the room. If there is a choice of just one name then go with the given design. Unless of course, the person prefers to be called by their surname. Also, forgo nicknames unless it is a casual setting.

Planners of conferences and retreats like to provide badges so that guests can make discussions easier. A planner of such an event could use a way to cut back on costs. By reusing badges for different conferences, the planner is able to direct funds to an element that adds quality to her or his service.

Another planner for weddings and other sorts of parties. There is need to distinguish between guests and staff. The positions in these party planning companies are usually very high turnover. They like to hire temporary workers, people who are only available on specific days and not permanent employees. This type would be very useful for such a company.
