A Brief Overview Of Madagascar Minerals

By Arthur Johnson

On the south eastern edge of Africa is an island nation called Madagascar. The Mozambique Channel which is 300 miles wide separates this island from mainland Africa. The unique geographical location and land formation has led to the discovery of numerous and precious Madagascar minerals. These stones are luxurious, come in numerous colors and are used for a range of ornamental purposes.

One of the most common extractions is the Diopside. It comes in white to light green pyroxene color. This stone is precious because it contains little to no aluminum. The colors are also very rich and solid. It may also appear in predominant white color which has very minute composition of aluminum but no iron at all. This makes it a desirable mineral for table top and surface decoration materials.

The presence of gold on this island has baffled scientists but is a welcome discovery for investors. It is found on the river beds of central axis and on ancient primary rocks. It has been discovered alongside other precious stones like sapphire, zircon, garnet and aquamarine. There is beauty in these stones that makes them highly attractive in the world.

Beryl is a rare find on the Madagascan Island. The variety found here is distinguished by the pink rose coloration and is sometimes christened morganite by mineral experts. The general color is exquisite with each stone exhibiting unique color and pattern properties. Gem dealers love Madagascan beryl because of its limpidity and colorful nature. This stone has beaten others extracted from different regions around the world.

Tourmaline is another mineral that excites miners from the region. It comes in a variety of colors including green, blue, yellow, rose, violet-red and actual red. The stones have been described as peculiarly beautiful because of the crystal formations it presents. The crystal composition and formation is unique helping crafts men to produce unique products and surfaces.

The uses these minerals are put into make them even more prestigious. They are perfect for counter and table tops, ornaments and decorative accessories. For instance, labradorite is used for luxurious floor, surface and table tops because of its electric midnight appearance. It offers a neon blue, white and black feel. The blue apatite top is another luxurious surface material that offers a blue ragged feel on your surface. The resulting surfaces are breathtaking.

The surrounding sea has also inspired the crafting of incredible animals sculptures like dolphins. They are made from labradorite and mounted on specially crafted discs as part of an expansive ornamental collection. Other artistic creations from Madagascan stones include rose quartz decorated heart, petrified wood vessel sink and carving of jasper bear that looks like chestnuts and feeding on fish.

The quality of Madagascan stones and the products that emanate from them is incredible. These products give your home a luxurious feel. They are shipped to all corners around the world at an affordable price. This is your opportunity to enjoy the luxury and glamour of Madagascan gems.
