Can Long Island SEO Focus On Changes In Facebook Likes?

By Robert Sutter

There's plenty of stock that's placed in the idea of Facebook Likes. As any Long Island SEO expert can tell you, these Likes are indicative of how much popularity a page has, meaning that businesses with more of these are seen as more reputable. With that said, it seems as though these Likes, and how they are tallied, are going to start to change in the future. For those who are confused as to what this means, I believe that a bit of detail is necessary.

TechCrunch published an article that detailed how Facebook Likes were going to be tallied in the near future. Specifically, the Likes in question are not going to be applied from deactivated accounts, which has been a problem of Facebook's for quite some time. It also makes sense from a personal standpoint, since a Like from an inactive page isn't exactly going to mean much. This is understandable, as I am sure anyone in the realm of Long Island SEO will attest to.

One has to wonder, then, how this will affect the amount of Likes that a Facebook page has. Mileage will vary from page to page, seeing as how this statistic is not tallied the same way across the board. One page, for example, may have more "inactive" Likes than another page, meaning that the former is going to see more of a dip than the latter. Keep in mind that this change will not happen immediately, as it sounds like shifts will be visible in the coming weeks.

With this in mind, I am sure that businesses are wondering how they'll be able to account for any lost Likes. A Long Island SEO company may instruct you on how to add Facebook to your own personal website. Make sure that there's a visible Facebook tag that can be clicked, thereby leading visitors to the social media page in question. This is just one strategy to consider but, according to authorities such as fishbat, it's an effective one in this instance.

There's no doubt that Facebook Likes are desired amongst business of all types. They want to reach as much popularity as possible, meaning that they're understandably going to place a sizable amount of stock in this social networking site. With that said, if you've been consistent with receiving Likes, you're probably not going to have to worry about this update. If you have concerns, though, just know that there are short and long-term solutions worth noting.
