Make More Money By Staying In Touch - Email Marketing Essentials

By Ron Stucky

There is no magic formula to creating a highly profitable list. You will not find a secret method that only a choice few people know about. Insider secrets? None of these either. These are not going to help you (even if they do exist in some secret box or file). Anyone that builds a successful email marketing list builds a solid foundation before anything else happens. So if you want to build a profitable list, using time-tested solid techniques is your only way to building this list. The new shiny method syndrome is bound to affect many, causing them to let time-tested techniques go in place of something that probably won't work. These techniques are tried-and-true because they work. Never forget the following strategies that we are about to show you.

Your email messages should tested for effectiveness. Testing is critical to all areas of Internet Marketing but it tends to be a lot easier to do in email marketing than with things like articles, ads or websites.

Don't lower yourself to using rehashed PLR in your emails. So many email marketers pad their mailings with cheap PLR content. Show your readership more respect. It's true that some days can be slow on the news front. It is true that it takes time to come up with solid and good content that your readers will find valuable. That's fine! You are better off sending out a few emails with excellent content than sending out a bunch of them that feature poor quality content.

Your readers will be happy that they don't have to wade through tons of mediocrity. Their appreciation of you will grow exponentially if you take the "fewer but better quality messages" approach.

Your list will not appreciate emails all the time. There are some who insist that you need to send out multiple emails a week. You need to send some good content to your subscribers every 2 to 3 days in an email. This is a generally accepted rule. Unfortunately, this could be a bad idea. You know your list. The promotions you have sent - you should remember them all. These are your people. You should cater to their every need. So, for instance, if your email list is comprised of busy professionals, sending lots of e-mails is probably a bad idea. It can be very tempting, especially when doing email marketing, to be distracted by offers the promise you the moon. Some of them will promise you that your profits will triple if you simply use their shiny new technique - don't be fooled! Realize that most of these offers will only work momentarily. By sticking to the basics, you will be able to earn a good income off of the Internet by using consistent strategies that work. We've outlined a few of those here. How many more can you think of on your own?
