But with all the advantages, there are also cons to this choice. The customers would just think of it as junk mail. And the letters would usually end up in the garbage can. The sad part is that it is usually unread. People of today try to filter what they read.

In terms of cost effectiveness, there is no guarantee that this is the method you must try. It is true that it might come as cheap. But not all mails would work. If you are not sure about this, better consider all of the options first before deciding. There are others who risk it and go for more expensive advertising means.
